I can't believe it's October...I can't believe that Nathan is almost 7 months...I can't believe that Dakota is very close to turning 16 and Logan is just as sweet as ever. Nathan is getting to be more fun to play with everyday. He loves to laugh and we love to make him laugh! He is also a little scaredy cat but that makes us laugh too.

Monday my mom and I took the boys to Disneyland. They had a lot of fun. Nathan was so good being out all day in the heat. Mickey played peek a boo with him and he liked it. We stayed for the World of Color show, it was pretty cool. I have been going to Disneyland all my life and I am grateful to be able to take my kids as well.

John did a comp last night and took 3rd. I love watching him climb, he is so good. Everyone at the gym always has such good things to say about him too. A lot of people come up to me and tell me how good he is. He really makes climbing look easy but I know that it takes strength and endurance to be the best.

Logan and I went to support John in his comp. Then Logan ended up competing as well. It was the first time for Logan, he hasn't climbed in a very long time. He did very good. I am so proud of them both.

YEA!!! The day is finally here! I go into the hospital tonight to be induced to have my lil Nate =)

Tomorrow Nathan will be here and our family will be complete. Nathan is being named after my dad and will be born on his birthday. I feel so blessed right now. I am so THANKFUL for the blessings of my Heavenly Father. I am also thankful for our families and everything that they have done for us. I will posted pictures of our little bundle when I return home from the hospital.

John took 5th in the advanced division at a Regional Rock Climbing Competition Saturday. It was so much fun to see him in his element. I loved watching him figure out the problems and conquering each one that he tried. He is amazing and I am so very proud of him.

Tonight we were at my moms making cranberry salad. The boys were excited because they got to help. It was a really nice family experience that I hope they will remember as they grow older. And with all family moments especially in our family, there are some funny comments, people thinking that you are saying something else or just plain blonde moments. Tonight as we were almost done making the cranberry salad, Logan was excited and said " I'm off track" AND my mom thought he said " I'm on crack"...Kota and I started laughing and Logan then said" Yeah I'm on crack don't tell my mom". I really enjoy when the kids have a witty comeback that make sense and the timing is perfect.

Another moment was Kota was eating some banana bread....

Me: Is that good?
Kota: Here have a bite.
Me: No I'm not a banana bread type person unless it has chocolate chips.
Kota: Just eat it, I won't take no for an answer

Today we had our 1st ultrasound and found out that our baby is due March 17th. We got to see the little heart move, it was so cute. I should of posted this yesterday but I was a little busy. It has been an amazing 2 years of wedded bliss. The road hasn't always been smooth but our love for each other continues to grow and that is what really counts. Johnnie turned 30 so we are officially out of our 20's. We surprised him with a cake and the kids tried to smash his face but we just couldn't do it...he is just to fast...maybe next year when he is a little older =)

We had so much fun at Crystals yesterday. We went swimming, ate good food, had great entertainment (all the kiddos) and watch some fireworks. Emily made the kids a 4th of July pinata and wow that was really fun to watch. Tysen had us laughing so hard with his awesome personality. Really that kid is hilarious! It was the perfect day, I love being with family.

I think July is the hardest month for me. The 4th of July was the last holiday that I got to spend with my dad. I loved getting a reaction out of him. I know he pretended to be annoyed but deep down he really loved it. I am not a singer BUT I love to sing. I was at my parents house for a BBQ before we went to the high school to see the fire works. Proud to be an American came on the radio and I was singing it and he told me to shut up....of course everyone who knows me knows I don't do what I am told so I sang it even louder. While we were at the fireworks show that same song came on and I looked at my dad with a huge smile, he gave me the don't you dare look. I love that memory of him, it's one of my favorites. I still can't believe that it will be 7 years. It still hurts and makes me sad. I love you Papa!

I have a little less than 4 months to get back to the temple so I can be with Marisa on her wedding day…..Can I do it? YES I CAN! I talked to my Bishop and he thinks that it will be no problem. I am so excited for Marisa and I am so thankful for the motivation to get me back to where I need to be. We went to Corona Del Mar yesterday and it was beautiful! It was the perfect beach day. We spent the day with Shelley ( my sis in law) and her family. We had so much fun, my boys just love her girls. Children really do make life enjoyable.

Dakota is playing spring soccer again. Here are some pictures of his last game. He did score but I don't have a picture of that. He is playing so well and is becoming a leader on his team. I am so proud of him. As he gets older you can tell that his style of play is becoming more mature. He is so confident on the field and in charge. Below are a couple pictures of him scaring the girls on the opposite team with his powerful kicks. I don't blame them, I have been hit by one of his kicks and MAN DO THEY HURT!

After work today John and I took the boys and my niece Taylor to the park to play around. We had so much fun. We set up the volleyball net and played a couple of games. I miss playing volleyball. We used to take the boys all the time to the park but we've stop doing that. Actually we have all been going our separate ways lately. Dakota actually was very upset about us not doing things as a family like we used to. I guess as parents we sometimes get selfish with our time. It's hard juggling a full time job, being a wife and a mother AND trying to get time in for myself. I really miss the time we spend together too. Children grow up so fast we need to spend more time together. We are going to go to the park again on Thursday, I would take pictures but I need a new battery.

Dakota keeps talking about going away for college, or moving out and it makes me sad. I don't want my boys to leave. I want them to stay just the way they are forever right now.....I know keep dreaming. I hope that everyone is enjoying their families...I am going to go enjoy mine some more =)

Today Dakota got to meet his favorite Duck Bobby Ryan. It was such a neat experience. When he was getting his shirt signed by Bobby Ryan and Andrew Ebbet, I told Bobby that he was Dakota's favorite player and his face lit up and he said " Awww thanks buddy". I thought that was totally cool. What a nice guy! I thought even if he wasn't sincere it still made us feel good and left a great impression. We walked away feeling that we made his day. He also got Ryan Carter's and Ryan Whitney's signature. We saw Ryan Getzlaf but could get his signature(too many people). Hockey players are so nice and seem really genuine not like some other sports players.

Logan had fun but I think that was because we were at Knott's Berry Farm. I know John was excited because this is his team and he loves them! I had fun seeing all three of my boys happy.

I am sitting at home bored. There is a ton of stuff to do but I don't want to do it. I started a new blog. I am going to track my weight loss on my weight loss blog. Other than that there is nothing new. The boys are good, Johnnie is good and I am here. I feel kind of funky....yep funky. OH I also start an online journal on LDSJournal. That is pretty cool. I really need to get back into that. I need to work on my genealogy too AND get back to the temple. My brother in law is getting baptized this weekend and he truly has inspired me. I know that it is possible to turn your life around. I need more faith, I don't think I have enough. Can I borrow some? I need to work harder, be better, more focused. I need to get off the computer!

Today was a good day

Today was awesome! Logan bore his testimony for the 1st time. It was so sweet, so simple and yet powerful. The faith of a child really is something. Logan is my rock. He wants to go to scouts and he wants to go to church.

Dakota was ordained a teacher today. The Adams came down along with a friend of mine that was in a really bad motorcycle last September. I know that it meant so much to Dakota that they were there. It meant so much to me.

Both the boys are setting good examples for each other and for me. It is awesome to think that if Dakota stays faithful that he should be able to ordain Logan a teacher and priest. I am so thankful for my children and how I am blessed to be their mother. I am so thankful for Jesus Christ taking upon him my sins and through him one day I will be able to return to my Heavenly Father. I know the road is long and hard but Jesus Christ never said that it was easy, only that it was worth it.

Yes today was a good day!

Amazing Opportunity

Dakota has been invited to train with professional Dutch coaches and compete with student athletes from over 25 countries at the Youth Friendship Games, an Olympic-style sports festival in Holland. IN HOLLAND!!!! OH MY! What an amazing opportunity that would be for him. We're not sure if he is going to go but just to be invited is really cool.

On an sad note he didn't make the spring select team. I have heard that it is hard to get selected. He will still play soccer in the spring and hopefully will try out for the high school team next year. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? HIGH SCHOOL!!!! UGH! He is growing up so fast! Why can't they stay little forever?

Dakota made All-Stars again this year. He was totally excited! He has a chance to make the spring select team. One of the coaches was looking at him and some other kids on his team at their last game. He took our phone number so keep your fingers crossed. Kota REALLY wants to make the team. This is my favorite time of year. I love Halloween. I love dressing up and going trick or treating. This was our 1st year going to Disneyland and doing the trick or treat thing. We had a lot of fun but who doesn't at the happiest place on earth. I think that we will do this again next year.

Knott's Scary Farm 2008

So we took the boys to Knott's Scary Farm. Let me tell you it was FUN. They were so scared! I didn't get to scream as much as I usually do because I was laughing at Kota and Logan. Corn Stalker was the best, I got really scared on that one. It was a new maze so John wanted to take his time. He started to slow down almost stopping and the boys were yelling at him to go. It was pretty funny...then I started to tell him to go too because I was getting scared. They had this guy on the floor get our feet, we didn't even see him until it was too late. By the end of the night the monsters were giving Logan high 5's. That was pretty entertaining too. Logan would see a monster and immediately hold up his hand. It only worked for him, they wouldn't do that for me and they scare me all the time. Logan got doubled scared with the monsters and me screaming. All in all, the boys had a blast and when we were safely in the car the boys starting talking all big, which made me chuckle even more. I guess even at a young age boys have to be macho.

Football FINALLY makes sense..........A guy took his blonde girlfriend to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team's bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked the experience.'Oh, I really liked it,' she replied, 'especially the tight pants and all the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents.'Dumbfounded, her date asked, 'What do you mean?''Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was: 'Get the quarterback! Kota was on fire tonight.....he played soooooo good. He got himself a pair of goals but he should have had at least 5. He hit the poles a couple of times and miss the far corner. I was just happy that he was taking his shots. Normally he plays mid field and but his coach this season has him playing forward and Kota tends to wait to long to shoot. NOT TONIGHT! I am bummed that Johnnie missed it. I didn't tape it either. Johnnie is camping this weekend in Utah with his boss and friend from work. So it just me and the boys this weekend so you know what that means...PARTY! Nah just joking....we have soccer tomorrow morning and a blessing to go to on Sunday.

Bowling...

Today Logan and my mom took 2nd place in their division. Here is a picture of Logan with his trophy.

Kota's team took 1st place in his league.

This was the first time the boys did a league and they both brought home 1st place trophies. Today was exciting Logan and my mom getting 2nd. John and Kota didn't do that bad. John wasn't feeling well so that hurt his game. Kota bowled a 220 today in his 2nd game. My niece and I didn't do well either but we had fun and really that is what is it all about. I love bowling because we get to do it together as a family.

Crazy....

Things have been crazy in my house these past couple of months. We were spending every weekend at my mom's house. John remodeled my mom's kitchen. He took out her old cabinets, painted, put on the new floor and installed her new cabinets. Her kitchen looks beautiful! I should have taken pictures. I will next time I go over there.

We are also on a bowling league. We are in last place but we are having fun. For sweepers we get to go to Vegas so that is exciting. Logan and my mom did a youth bowling league and they took 1st place. Dakota is finishing his league today and hopefully his team gets 1st. Saturday we are in a bowling tournament. John is teamed up with Kota, Logan is with my mom and I am bowling with my niece Taylor. It should be fun. I'll post some pictures later.

Soccer has started for the boys. They had their 1st game last weekend. They both lost but it is a good starting point for the coaches to see what they need to work on. They don't have games this weekend because of the holiday.

The boys have also started school. They seem to be doing well. I am so proud of Kota right now. he is doing so well with his homework and classwork. He really is putting forth a good effort.

We are so busy that we don't get to spend time with friends or family and we miss everyone!

Today is the day that I miss him the most. I guess because today is the day that he was taken away from me. It has been 6 years and still I can't believe it. Some days I can't remember his face and others he is so vivid in my mind. There are so many thoughts and feelings when I think of my dad. My world literally came crashing down when I got that call at 4 something in the morning. I have always felt safe because I knew he was there. He never let me down even though I let him down all the time. He was taken so suddenly that I never got to say I'm sorry, I love you and you meant the world to me. I am so sorry Papa that I kept you up at night. I am so sorry that I couldn't have been better. I am so sorry that you couldn't have walked me down the isle and that you didn't get to meet John. I think that you would have liked him, he reminds me of you. I am mostly sorry that I didn't get to say goodbye and tell you how much I love you. I hope that one day I will get to see you again.

I can't believe that it has been a year! This year has gone by so fast. My love for John grows with each day and I am truly blessed. I am the luckiest girl alive to have a man like John for a husband. One day I hope that we can go to the temple and be sealed. I love my family so much!

We went to an Angels game for the 4th of July. We had so much fun. They had the best fireworks display that I have ever seen. John's sister Ashley came with us to celebrate the holiday. We hope everyone had a wonderful 4th!

We sang this song in Relief Soceity today and I always get a little choked up. I am so thankful for this blessing and I can't wait for the day that I get to kneel across from John and be sealed. I want this more than anything! I love my family, I love this church, I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ!

Let's Go Ducks!

This holiday weekend we took the kids to see a Ducks game. It was so much fun! There was a fight within the 1st couple of mintues so we knew it was going to be a good game. The Ducks won 4-2. The only thing that suck was that Teemu didn't score, not for a lack of trying though. One shot for sure was his but he got robbed at the last minute. Something funny happened though while we were watching the game. This older lady was trying to sit down in her seat and grab Kota's leg. So Kota moved it because this strange lady was touching him. She fell on top of the kids sitting in front of us. It took everything I had not to start laughing. The poor little boy was being smothered by this DRUNK lady and all she could do was say that she was sorry. She didn't even try to get up. John had to lift her up (dead weight) off of the little boy. The boys were ok but probably traumitzed by this. Five mintues later she tried to give the little boy $20. The dad wouldn't let him take it. The lady left not to long after that, which was probably a good thing. Ok so some of you may not think that is funny but you really had to be there. I probably wouldn't have laughed if someone had gotten hurt so I am not a total monster.

Yea! I'm finally going to get baptized. My missionaries helped me to learn what I needed to know to get baptized. If you have time to come you can, if you don't than that's okay.

Logan is getting baptized on December 15th at 4:00 pm at the Corona Stake center. For those that live locally, the address is 1510 Taber Rd, Corona, CA 92881. We know that it is short notice so please don't feel bad if you can't make it.

Dakota was ordained a deacon today at church. What an awesome experience that was. My heart was filled with so much love, joy and peace. We haven't been in our ward for very long but everyone is so nice and welcomeing. When they were getting ready to set him apart the older boys( I think that they were the preists) asked if they could join in the circle. When bother Ferris told them yes they imediatley cam to their feet and surround Kota. I was so touched by their spirit. Dakota will pass sacrement for the 1st time in October. He is very nervous and doesn't want to mess up. I am so thankful for my children and that Heavenly Father saw fit to bring their sweet spirits into my life.

Tonight was Kota's 1st soccer game and he did pretty good. He played hard, not to his full potential but his ankle was bothering him. Once it's better he will kick some can. His team seems to mesh really well together. Logan plays tomorrow so that will be fun to watch.

I have been at my job for 3 weeks now and I am really starting to enjoy it. I miss everyone at the Boy Scouts but I know that I made the right choice when I can get home in 10 minutes. I am 1.4 miles away. So the 1st week was rough getting adjusted but now it's cool. I can work on my own which I love. I hate having to depend on others for information. I think I can see a long future with them. My goal is after my probation period take the classes that I need to get my real estate license. Than I can move up the ladder.

So that is it. OH John is refereeing for Logan's soccer team. That will be fun. I take pictures and put them on the blog.

New Job

I started my new job today. I am very excited but very overwhelmed. It is going to be tough for a while until I get used to everything. I have been with the boy scouts for so long. That is all I know. I was so comfortable and now I feel lost and not so sure of myself. I don't like feeling like this. I know it won't last long, I learn fast but there is just so much. Tomorrow is always a new day!
